OpenAI launches Sora in Europe
OpenAI keeps pushing the envelope by bringing its Sora video generation model to Europe and the UK. This tech wizardry lets you whip up ultra-realistic, high-def videos just from simple text descriptions. With its cutting-edge language interpretation and image processing model, Sora is set to be a game-changer for the entertainment, marketing, and visual communication industries.
However, its rollout is already sparking debates, particularly around AI's role in creative industries and the impacts on copyright and content authenticity.
Amazon sharpens Alexa with AI
Amazon makes a big splash with the launch of Alexa+. This major upgrade to its voice assistant is packed with a beefed-up AI engine, designed for smoother, more natural interactions that cater to both personal and professional use.

The goal is twofold:

Launch of the European Center for AI Excellence in Paris
The European Center for AI Excellence (CAIE) is set to open in Paris in June 2025, supported by VivaTech and the World Economic Forum. The WEF's first hub dedicated to AI, it will bring together researchers, startups, and major companies to drive innovation and structure a competitive European ecosystem.
Goals: develop sovereign AI solutions, promote strategic partnerships, and enhance talent training. This center marks a response to global tech giants and positions Paris as a key player in artificial intelligence in Europe.
Major announcements at MWC 2025 in Barcelona
The Mobile World Congress 2025 was packed with big announcements, particularly in AI and connectivity. Highlights included:
Xiaomi unveils the SU7 Ultra, its first electric car featuring advanced AI for autonomous management and energy optimization. This innovation positions Xiaomi as a new key player in the smart electric vehicle market.
New Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphones, equipped with an AI processor dedicated to optimizing mobile photography. With image processing algorithms based on deep learning, these models push the boundaries of low-light photography and automatic color management.
